My husband and I welcomed our first baby this past December. We were making plans for a homebirth and knew we wanted to hire a doula. We set up a few interviews and Hillary was the first of those. My husband and I hired Hillary as an overnight doula for when we came home with our twins. She was a miracle. Truly. She came in and did laundry, fed and comforted our kids, baked cookies, and made food, all while my husband and I got a few hours of uninterrupted sleep. She was so loving and so kind to all of us. We adore Hillary and have recommended her to everyone. If we ever had more kids, Hillary would be our first call.
I loved working with Hillary for the birth of my second child. I didn't use a doula with my first baby, and knew that I needed one to feel more in control the next time. I met with Hillary only once before the birth--we had two scheduled, but he came 4 weeks early and completely unexpectedly. When I found out I was pregnant, I discussed finding a doula with my husband. I knew from the beginning that I was not going to have many people in the room with me and my husband does not do well with hospital situations. Surprisingly, I had to really search for a doula.
