I had a great experience with Hearing Life in Plymouth. I had lost one of my hearing aids and Alex walked me through all of my options. I eventually decided to upgrade my on the technology. I had some insurance benefits, but after working through options, I was able to upgrade to an Oticon product and with the manufacturers discount, I got a better price than through insurance. I appreciated the input, patience, understanding, and results.

The audiologist twice did not listen the requests and needs of my 87-year old mother, pressuring my mother to purchase expensive hearing aides that would not stay in her ears, that had batteries that were too small for my mother's arthritic hands when re-chargeable hearing aids are readily available, and roped my mother into a financing agreement that has her on the hook for monthly payments for hearing aids she does not have. My mother returned the hearing aids that did not work ... read more

I have been a customer at Oviatt for about 7 years. I have always been. pleased with the service. Several years ago one of my hearing aids failed. It was 3 or 4 months beyond warranty but Oviatt got the manufacturer to repair at no cost. Also I have bought 2 sets of hearing aids at Oviatt and price was reasonable. I went to a competitor several times and I did not like their pricing strategy. For comparable aids they would claim a much higher price which even with big discount was still $500 more than Oviatt. Also whenever I... read more

My husband, Paul, who is a senior on a fixed income, went to John Wilson at Accuquest in Hendersonville for a hearing test in hopes that he would be able to find some hearing aids that would help him. Paul's tried several kinds over the years and nothing has really helped him all that much. After testing, John assured Paul that he alone had the "fix" for Paul so my husband agreed to the high price of the hearing aids, $5,000. During that first meeting with John and subsequent meetings, John spoke in very technical terms r... read more
