Had trouble with my hearing aids, went to the Lewes office to find out it was closed. I called the support number and the said they could not help me. I would have to wait till Monday. I had to wait the entire weekend till the office opened up on Monday! Why did they not have someone to cover for that office, why?
Horrible. Horrible corporation. Before I was seen in one of their centers, I specifically asked if Anthem pays the claim for my hearing aids. Will you accept payment and I will be reimbursed my $6,800 I was told yes I paid the $6,800. It took Anthem 5 months to make payment on the claim. When said claim was paid, the corporate office refused the insurance payment and was sending Anthem their money back. Mel in the corporate office was absolutely no help in getting my money refunded to me. Beware. They're a bunch of liars.
The Audiologist clearly explained the benefits of various hearing devices, and provided literature to read about each product before making a final product choice. Since this review, my insurance provider informed me that the audiologist requested the cost of a hearing device that I did not select. Also, they convinced to sign for a credit card at 29.9 percent interest that I did not need nor want. Needless to say, I will not do business with this company. Good company, but if they’re selling the excellent Phonak brand, they shouldn’t charge to do checkups for $199/year. Unconscionable.
