Heard and Smith is the epitome of incompetence, false representation, fraud and complete failure to prepare a SSDI case for 2 and 1/2 years. This firm should be disbarred. Bunch of dumb fucken assholes looking to get the shit kicked out of em Texas Style. Stay away from this clusterphuck firm!
I hired Heard and Smith in June of 2013 and have not made it to a court hearing yet. I have spent 3 years of my life hurting and trying to get some income coming in. I have lived in my car, lived with out food and they don't care. My family has helped as best they can but can only afford so much for me. I finally had to go to work part time and it is killing me. Ok..DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME WITH HEARD AND SMITH!!! It took them almost 9 months to file for me and they fucked everything up. They seem not to care about the client as much as they do taking your money. SSI and Disability both informed me that this law firm did all the wrong paperwork and mis represented me with SSI & Disablity. Do not seek help from them, they don't care and they suck at what they do. They can't even fill the paperwork out correctly. Heard and Smith sucks!!!!!
Run. Fast. ANY firm has to be better than this one. Never felt for one minute that they cared about me, only their potential payoff. Find a firm that at the very least assigns a contact to you. Every time I called I spoke with a different person-and they never let you talk to anyone except the person answering the phone. They knew for a month that my application for disability was approved but didn't even have the professional courtesy to let me know. I found out by calling SS myself. Totally confused by Heard and smith ?? Lawyer was very rude that's supposed to go to hearing with me And got treated worse by heard and smith when I complained Do not hire them Wish I had checked them out further Do not go by what Facebook ads imply I am so sorry now :) Dale
By and far, the worst experience I have ever had in dealing with "professionals"-and I have worked with a lot of people/companies/organizations over my long career. How I WISH I had done my homework on this firm before hiring-lesson learned. I have to seriously question the 5 Star reviews. When you have primarily one star reviews sprinkled with 5 star reviews-where do YOU think the 5 stars are coming from? Let me start by saying I had a very good experience with these lawyers. After reading all the negative reviews I must say I thought for a second I had made a mistake going forward with heard & Smith,but I didnt have any of the problems other people had so i ignored the negative statements. My attorney Bernie Shapiro was absolutely fantastic. Disability cases can take a long time and i was made aware of that. We hired them 3 years ago for my husband's disability case. The attorney H&S hired in Arizona for the ALJ hearing was not prepared for the hearing. We kept calling, asking if they had all the doctor records, they said they ordered them. The night before the hearing, we found out that they did not have any doctor records. They forgot to send payment to the doctors to receive them. My husband had a radiation treatment for his cancer on the morning of the hearing.
