I wish I had not enrolled in Healthypaws. Don’t fall in their trap. Not only they increased my rate by 70% but also they won’t pay for anything. They find an excuse to deny. My dog had a lump which needed to be checked. They didn’t cover. My dog had an issue where doctor asked for fecal test which wasn’t covered. They are great at quickly approving payments and it’s super easy to submit but I’d shop somewhere else for pet insurance. Healthy Paws is expensive. After my Great Dane started treatments for bone cancer they raised the rate about $100 PER MONTH!! Now paying $240 A MONTH for 75% coverage. They do not cover office visit fees even if the office visit is due to cancer treatments. So that’s been $200 not covered. I am now stuck with them and I feel like they know. Shop around. Horrible. On hold for hours. No special number to get technical assistance, like why all of a sudden the site does not recognize my email address. Stay away, expensive and you can't actually get a hold of anyone. In this day and age, with AI, how can you not get things resolved using an online chat or something like that? Instead, stay on hold and hear every 5 seconds that no one is available............and just wait.
My pup has been having some health issues lately which required tons of bloodwork, X-rays and later an MRI. She didn’t have any pre-existing conditions and had been covered by Healthy Paws for a few years prior. We filed our claims with the insurance had to cover the deductible but after that received our 80% refund pretty quickly! The customer service with Healthy Paws is really helpful and would recommend anyone to enroll their pup with this insurance
Healthy Paws Insurance has been a life saver. I was hoping that I was just donating to someone else when we adopted our little girl. Between food allergies, Elbow dysplasia, and just the increasing cost of veterinarian care, Has made this invaluable tool as we moved into retirement.
