This review is not regarding the massage I received recently; the massage (and massage therapist) was wonderful, as it always is. The 1-star review is regarding the extremely poor customer service I encountered after the massage. The lady at the front desk asked how much I wanted to tip, so I replied 20% which is my usual and is also a standard tip amount for good service. Her exact words were, “only $20? I had a bad experience recently. Had a 90-minute massage for $100. I usually tip $20, but the masseuse said, “Only $20? For a 90-minute massage, the tip should be $30.” I was shocked by her audacity to ask for a higher tip. When do you see waiters asking for an increase in tips? Never! To make matters worse, throughout the massage, she kept coughing around me, constantly talking with another masseuse, and even left the room to greet another customer.
