Worst mistake I’ve ever made! I was promised high efficiency panels, new hot water heater with timer, spray foam insulation to increase energy efficiency, elimination of my electric bills and a lifetime service guarantee. The panels do not work. I received the hot water heater only after calling but the timer is still sitting in the box on top of it. My electric bill has not gone down at all. Not happy how they are running their business, bunch of liars , irresponsable, when they want your business , they keep on calling you, but once you signed the contract , they disappeared, we were promised on 8/5/2020 , it will get done in 5 weeks , here we are 7 weeks later , trying to get hold of someone . Recommend to read your contract before you sign , called their Bank Enerbank , we were advised not to signed the loan paperwork until the job it’s done . They promised my Electric bill would be zero after installing the panels which did not happen, Last electric bill was almost 90 dollars, Mike, the owner promised to fix the problem but now doesn’t even reply my messages nor call me back, very frustrated with the whole process. If you ever consider a solar panel STAY AWAY from this company.

Anyone considering solar...go somewhere else! Mike mason owned Home Star Solar Solutions in South Carolina. The company is now closed and Mike Mason left many many customers screwed with solar bills and the same electric bills that they already had. His promises to fix the problem were empty promises. Google his former company!

Although I believe this company intends to do the right thing, they have failed in multiple areas. There timeline is way off. I was sold on the timeframe that I would be up and running within 3-4 weeks. It took four and a half months. I understand that delays can happen but being off by three and a half months in unacceptable. It reduced by grace period of nor having to pay by four months costing me $600.00.
