I worked at the Healthy Ageing and Wellbeing Centre (HAWC) from the 27th August 2012 until we closed the doors for the final time on 5th June 2015. We were closed down due to lack of funding in the end. St. Laurence Community Services originally launched HAWC as a pilot program with the view towards attaining government funded assistance which would have allowed this vital facility to remain open.
