This doctor is one of the rudest and most inconsiderate doctors that I have ever met! It would often take up to an hour to be seen by him, but he would only see you for less than ten minutes. After ten minutes he would become impatient and arrogant and start to rush you out of his office. You will always have questions, but he is visibly too irritated and annoyed to answer them, especially if you've gone over ten minutes. He was my doctor at Lakeside. He was a complete jerk and shouldn’t be working with people that have substance use disorders. He acts like you are wasting his time. I changed to Dr. Fu and he is awesome.

I really like Dr. Akin. He has done wonders with my husband who suffers with Dementia. The issues I have isn't with him or his care but with the clinic and staff. Your phone calls aren't answered so it's hard to get scheduled for appointments or make changes. The staff is unfamiliar with how the clinic is ran, example: we were sent to 3 different rooms before we were finally in Dr. Akin's office. They didn't have medical records. A good office manager is seriously needed at this clinic.

THIS DOCTOR WOULD DO BETTER WITH MEN AS HE THINKS FEMALE PATIENCE SHOULD NOT THINK FOR THEM SELF. IF YOU ARE A WOMAN WHO LIKE TO HAVE A MAN MAKE YOUR DECISION FOR YOU. YOU WILL DO WELL WITH HIM.

Did not ever get me on any medications that worked. Went to another doctor and got on medications that worked in just a few weeks. Never really trusted his ability to listen. He just seemed to focus on getting me in and out of the office. Wait time was ridiculous. Sometimes two to three hours. Trust me if you can another doctor or clinic, do so!!! Particularly clinic!!! This one is run by some of the most rude, incompetent staff I have ever run in to.
