After having a TAVR procedure, my doctor sent me to Cardio Rehab. The staff was very welcoming, informative, and helpful in many ways. Totally explained how different equipment worked and the benefits of each. They encouraged me and allowed me to increase resistance levels as appropriate as they monitored blood pressure and other factors throughout the exercises. The staff at BHS Downtown Cardiac Rehab was amazing. They kept me on track during a tumultuous time after my heart surgery. Great guidance on all aspects of nutrition and exercise. Friendly and caring as well,, which is hard to find in this day and age. Much thanks to RJ, Marisa, Becky, Emily, Amanda as well as all the others I came in contact with! Anyone who has experienced any heart issue or surgery relating to your heart should go to cardiac rehab at downtown Baptist Hospital. I feel healthier and stronger after completing the program. You feel welcomed and supported by the very knowledgeable and compassionate staff (Marisa, Emily, RJ, Allie and Amanda) throughout the individualized program.
I had or still have medical issues but compared to the condition I was in prior to therapy is 180 out. My appetite and endurance has increased significantly. I was reluctant or maybe scared to start cardiac therapy at first but with all the precautions I saw in place and the highly knowledgeable staff members I felt at ease. Eventually I started to look forward to going and now that my sessions are coming to an end I feel confident that I will continue to do all the cardio exercises going forward!
