I’ve had nothing but (mostly) good experiences using healthfirst for the last two years. There are a plethora of good doctors that accept it and they cover a plethora of services- plus no referrals for specialists which is a bonus. But I’m mostly writing this review because of our current broker, Maria Prudencio. Keep mailing me things in Spanish. Very presumptuous since I speak no Spanish at all. It’s my married name. I have asked to be removed from the mailing list.
I got a call from the hospital yesterday about they didn't receive payment from my insurance company so I call them and they tell me my plan doesn't cover being in the hospital or surgery's now I'm going to have to pay this hospital bill and I'm living week by week don't use this insurance company they tell you that you are covered then you pay them but your not be aware
Expensive and they don't cover anything. Not even sure its worth having insurance. Be prepared to have bills keep rolling in for copays, payments towards deductibles, and balances they chose not to pay, so that you have to battle with them for coverage. Doctors should be making decisions as to what a patient needs - not greedy insurance companies.
Worst insurance ever i do not recommend we’ve been without health insurance for 6 weeks because of them completely incompetent people i wish i could give them negative stars
