I had to call them to look up some credentialling info. The operator transerfed me to a customer service department where a man clearly in a call center abroad picked up and based on these reviews i was expecting to shout at him and hang up the phone within minutes but he was helpful. Spoke clearly and answered all my questions.

Healthcare Partners denied my IVF cycle while discriminating based on my age and refused to pay a previously approved cycle claiming "they didn't see the authorization" as per my doctor. Not true- you did send me an authorization, please comply with your own approvals! The two internal reviewers Dr Padula and Dr Bockenhauer discriminated based on age as per the denial letter. More like Healthcare Enemies. They deny almost all authorization requests from all providers I do billing for, and if it's a procedure that costs over $1k, you might as well not even try. Also, here's an example of scam they have: for instance, you submit a request on Wednesday, and it gets denied on Friday. You get no notification, but suppose you call them for status in due time and are informed of the denial, and request a P2P discussion with the performing doctor. I found out my PC was using HCP when I went to see a specialist he sent me to 3 X and they declined the appointment when I showed up because they said "my insurance has not cleared the coverage yet". I found out it was NOT BCBS which didn't provide the OK but HCP! Every time I seek care outside of my PCP, HCP has been preventing me from receiving the urgent care I desperately need.
