DR PAIK RIPPED OUT MY IUD!!! STAY AWAY!!! I had multiple abysmal experiences two years ago with this practice and Dr. Paik. I’m still not over it so I’m posting a review here to help warn people to stay away at all costs. Dr. Paik inadvertently (?!) ripped out my IUD during a biopsy, sheepishly pulled out my very bloody IUD, then unsuccessfully and very painfully tried to reinsert one. First, the medical team here is good. Dr. Paik in particular is a great physician! Nevertheless, since the practice transitioned to the Privia system, no calls go through to their office staff. It is incredibly difficult to schedule appointments (online scheduler is not available), connect with a billing department that doesn’t seem to exist (pay bills online only), and it is difficult to even reach the advice nurse. Meh!! I went to this clinic because i thought its near my house in Reston. We had to move to SE Asia , following my husband’s job as a Foreign Service. They kept sending me bills by email, i am not able to open my health portal outside the US. I’ve called them and let them know what will happen if we’re leaving the US? Even tho i used my vpn, i am not able to log in to pay my bill or see my portal, its good i screenshot all of my results before i moved. Front desk and accounting people didn’t help at all. I truly believe this place deserves a higher rating. From my very first prenatal visit all the way through my daughter’s birth, the care I received was outstanding. They deliver at VHC, which was also a great experience. I especially liked Dr. McClendon and Dr. Winterling—both were fantastic. The after-hours care is excellent as well. I highly recommend them to everyone!
