Intake takes way too long, this is something that should be able to be done at home. And the receptionist was not helpful and seemed to get an attitude as soon as I asked her how much longer the it would take because I have to pick up my son from school. Took over 3 hours and they should have their receptionists go through some kind of training to be more empathetic or personable. I will not recommend this place to any friends or family.
DO NOT COME HERE. My sister got out of a domestic violence relationship and asked not to see a male therapist and was given a male therapist. She has now sworn off therapy forever. It was called the family center I think. Whoever was in charge of that should be fired. My sister originally had a female therapist who she loved but she left suddenly and unexpectedly. Meh even the process of getting help is exhausting and negative. Probably try Mental Health elsewhere I already know that if you meet the front desk who knows what the other people may be like.
If you are serious about getting sober and living a healthy, productive, and beautiful life, then MARC is the right place to start your journey. Denise has been my Marc doctor since moving to Colorado, and she is definitely an Earth Angel with the work she does. I would just like to say that I've been going to the organization for almost 6 or 7 years, they like to promote on their Marc side that they are there to help people. They have peer specialists to help people when they are getting clean, going through judicial issues and so on. But it's all just to make themselves look good.
