Get directionsI arrive at the emergency room, after a car wreck, with a head injury. It takes me half an hour to find the emergency room because there are no signs outside of the buildings. The man taking information about my injuries stops halfway through to have a 5 minute chit-chat with a nurse. I am sent out into the waiting room. 5 hours later, my name is called. Instead of being seen by a doctor, a student asks me the same questions I was asked upon admission. I am sent back out to wait. 5 more hours of waiting, with other people in... read more
Very slow service even in the emergency line. Came at 4:30 in the morning and it’s already more than 6 hours and still not sure when will I get my number just to see the doctor. Don’t know what kind of stuff the doctors and nurses do inside because when someone is not there when their name is announced, they don’t even take the next person who is in queue. Not worthy to even give one star rating. They don’t understand the meaning of word “emergency”. One more thing to add up, I don’t know how do they make up the order of pat... read more
No sign telling you where the emergency entrance is located. That's a pretty basic requirement. Unless you come here often you would be totally lost. I discovered that almost 3 years ago a press release stated the the NEW TEMPORARY emergency entrance is now the main patient entrance. So I'm supposed to know that at 4am when arriving at the hospital?? It's time for new management with a basic understanding of patient needs beyond medical. Am I being petty here? Do they believe word of mouth is sufficient??

I am 75, with multiple illnesses and should be urgent. Yesterday I went to walk in and it was 4 days to ultrasound opening. Today emerg. First some lab work. After 7 hrs the nurse agreed I need an ultrasound, and it could take 4-8 hrs more. Meanwhile since yesterday my leg has gotten much worse. In Belize, the doc took 15 min to ... read more
I arrived at the hospital at 4 pm and left at 11 am the next day — that’s 19 hours in the hospital. This is absolutely unbelievable. When I first got there, I was told the wait time was 6–7 hours. Every time I was about to reach that range, the estimated wait extended by another 2–3 hours. Every time I asked a nurse, I got a different reason: “The system is not first-come, first-served — it’s based on urgency.” “We don’t have enough doctors.” “We don’t have any available beds.” After I was already exhausted, in pain, and hav... read more
