Insurance is a scam. You pay all year and then they drop you before you can use your benefits. Last time they’ll get my money
After a routine dentist visit I learned that the insurance I thought was safely on autopay had been canceled due to “nonpayment.” No notice, no heads up, just an unpleasant surprise. What followed was a Kafkaesque series of phone tag with Paramount and the Marketplace, each one telling me to wait a few days for the system to catch up. Their customer service is absolutely atrocious. I have had countless issues with them - the most recent being they have my account ‘past due’ despite my bank showing records of the payment posted a month ago. I always pay early. When I call to address it, I am told the individual responsible for that area will give me a call NEXT WEEK. And this isn’t the first time they have pushed me out so long, generally with no follow up. When I expressed frustration with that answer, the customer service rep got an attitude with me.
