As a primary care doctor, this place is absolutely absurd. As I needed a simple referral, they continued to hold me up for hours and wasted my time. Wasted me taking off of work and wasted the doctor time at the specialist location. Ended up sending a note saying it was a referral instead of a legitimate insurance approved referral which comes from a Maryland consultation form, that any doctor should know. Shannon is an amazing doctor and just person In general so I would recommend her practice to anyone
My experience has been consistently frustrating. You can’t call in for refills—even for regular maintenance medications—without making yet another appointment, even if you’ve just been seen recently. It’s incredibly inconvenient and, honestly, risky, especially when it comes to essential prescriptions. They also refuse to respond to pharmacy refill requests, leaving patients without necessary medication until they can be seen again. You have to make several calls just to get a resolution. I have been a patient here for quite some time and am always disappointed with this office. You cannot call in for refills which is absurd considering the doctors only call in one prescription at a time with no refills even at yearly physicals and for regular maintenance meds. They do not answer any requests from pharmacies and will allow patients to go without medications unless they make an appointment even if they have been seen 3 times within a month period!
