If I could only give zero stars…..Had to get emergency surgery at a hospital and they didn’t pay the bill as promised in our plan. Mind blowing this company is still allowed to do business. We need class action.

Unfortunately this is a typical insurance company; with empty promises when it comes to coverage. They have also utilized a company “optimum RX” who has a presence in the Boston area. They use Optimum RX as a contracted processing agent whom after lengthy waiting periods and often denied claims, leaves you wondering why HNE is still licensed to operate in Massachusetts. Abysmal service. HNE should be ashamed. First time calling someone picked up the phone, said their name, and began yelling at someone else in a noisy room then hung up the phone. The person’s name was Rosa. Awful.

Health New England is a terrible organization that does everything in its power to make money rather than care about people. The prescription runarounds, repeated needless appointments and co-pays are discouraging. This forces those without the means to give up prior to receiving the medical care they need. I would NEVER recommend this health insurance. I would give zero stars if available.
