Went to the ER for severe stomach pains & left with no answers because my blood was fine. They did no evaluation on me besides poking my stomach once. I was kind of taken back when the nurse taking my blood didn’t wear gloves and was putting her tools on the dirty chair next to me. Before taking my blood she asked if they have trouble finding a vein and I said yes. She then proceeds to stick me with a needle and dig it around inside and then eventually gave up. The staff were great. What I'm appalled at is the cost at $2,000 +. We took our son (2 years old) at the time who had been choking / clearing his throat on & off. The fee broke down into third party billing for a few things. In a vulnerable state they told us they would do a swab to see if he was sick. It was a $1,500 swab! It was presented to us like it was routine. We had no idea. Honestly, I think the costs are criminal. We asked for an itimized bill. It still doesn't make sense. No need to write a novel. The service inside the emergency room is the absolute worst that could possibly exist. Simple as that.Receive only one star but don’t have option to bring less. I came in today 04/10/26 at about 9am and was treated very kindly and promptly by the ER nurses and staff. however I cannot say the same for the nurse running triage in the waiting room. She was very rude to each one of my family members and she had a total lack and empathy and care for someone who was already not having a good day.
