I was referred for individual therapy by a therapist I was seeing for couples counseling. They advised that the front desk would help coordinate the next steps. After our session, I spoke to the front desk and was told they would follow up once the particular therapist I was interested in seeing came in later that day. That was well over a week ago. I’ve had a frustrating experience with the counseling center’s scheduling process. After my initial call, I was scheduled for an appointment the next morning, only to have it canceled due to a "scheduling conflict" with the counselor. When I called back to reschedule, the receptionist couldn’t provide available times and promised to send an email with options.
