We went by today, my son found this facility online and was very interested in volunteering. He called and spoke with a "gentleman" who was unkind, to say the least. Just be advised they "are closed due to COVID". The website and Google had their operating hours til 5p today.. As a 13 year old boy who adores everything horses, it was disappointing at best, to be spoken to so rudely. Healing Horses is a spectacular sanctuary. They combine caring for horses that have been mistreated with helping out special needs children. The horses receive the care and love they weren't given and at the same time they are introduced to the children who benefit greatly from the interaction. Bev who runs it is a walking saint.
