I had a rough year and decided to seek out a therapist to help guide me through my emotional roller coaster. I have never seen a therapist before and was not certain I needed one (I grew up in a family that was all about tough love, and you didn't talk about your emotions). I am so grateful for Amy Scher and Allie Craig at Healing Hearts Counseling. Parenting is so very hard, especially when unexpected experiences and trauma hits. To have both of them in our family's corner for my daughters has been the greatest gift and relief as my family works together to navigate healing! They both have made my daughters feelcomfortable, safe, and secure!
Working with Cristina was pivotal in working through some specific situational anxiety after a car wreck. She was patient and easy to work with, but willing to challenge certain things in a respectful and positive way. Through work with EMDR and effective visualization exercises I was able to become more aware and comfortable with the issues that I was working through and have been able to manage and grow through those challenges.
Amy Scher at Healing Hearts Counseling has been such a wonderful support for both my daughter and me. She’s very communicative, compassionate, and easy to talk to. My daughter felt comfortable opening up to her right away, which means so much to us.
