I went to a Latina therapist for specifically Latinx issues and grappling with the Trump administration (which i made clear in my inquiry)And my therapist was very Combative, which made me think our values were not aligned in which I would say that she should not have accepted me as a client. This was a really discouraging experience for me. I wondered why there was no Latinx support group, but now I understand why this center cannot gain trust in the latinx community.

I found my son a teen counselor by a friend referral and researched before hand. Called to set up a session, went well. After that went downhill- lack of communication, we exchanged phone #’s and even had to call the office to get some help. Long story short had to change counselor all together. After that first session went well, 2nd one was confirmed via text- even the office each time asks if I got an email confirmation and I’ve never gotten that and the second counselor even verified to see.
