Started okay, but soon it turned extremely sour. Like one of the other reviewers, Kayla Cayon, said "all she did was tell me things like, "you should go out more"." That couldn't be closer to the truth. An all around awful experience. Seriously, there is such a disconnect from the youth and the people I talked to at this place. They treat you as if you are a child. My daughter ran away at 1am , was found at around 1pm. Prior to being found she went to headspace and made the person aware that she ran away. As per the person i spoke with, my daughter seems to be okay ,she said her decisions seems to be okay so they didnt think to call us because she has plans and she knows where she was going. I didnt know that walking around western sydney from 1am to 3am is a good decision and thats because shes 17. What safety plan are you talking about headspace?
Horrible. The staff at the counter are great and good to talk to but the therapist i spoke to over the course of a couple months, provided no help, and didn't even try understanding all she did was tell me things like, 'you should go out more'. But not providing any help on how to do that with my problems. Stupid
I really don't like giving low reviews... But, I didn't appreciate how they treated me, especially in my worst times. People's feelings are real and I felt invalidated in my experience... I needed support the most in my lowest times. Maybe they didn't know what they did wrong. I saw the reviews. Please do better to help these people in need.
