Rented an excavator for a week to dig a pond. After returning I was charged an additional $430 because the "unit was returned with heavy dirt on equipment." Other than the bucket, tracks and undercarriage the machine had no more dirt than during a normal digging operation on it. It's an excavator, they get dirty. I will not be using H&E again.
