Avoid this ER, the doctor will treat you with zero compassion. Dr Karkevandian has a horrible way that he talks to patients, no empathy and no interest in how they feel. He then tries to pretend his nurse is the boss and makes her talk to people because he knows that he’s lacking in this ability. His med tech is just as lacking in human skills. Dr. Ryan Lamond, Physician on duty isn’t very eager to assist his patients. Even though the place is empty, simple procedures needing to be done become an inconvenience for him. We don’t go there just to go, we have medical concerns needing to be addressed. We also at times are sent there by our primary care physician because they are concerned about our health and need it to be addressed right away. Finally a place where Doctors and Nurses listen to the patient!! Alissa and Kim were amazing and in my age range and understood that I know what’s going on with my body. They calmed me down and were very compassionate. Dr Plotts listened to me and acknowledged that I knew I had or passed a kidney stone. I’ve had 12 kidney stones in the last 15 years and I know what it feels like. I do not understand how this stand alone ER has a 4.8 stars. I was there last night and I had the most horrible experience. The nurses and the Dr. were very dismissive. I got there in terrible pain and left in terrible pain. I skipped out on going to the Manatee Memorial stand alone because they were packed but I regret doing that. I have always gone to a Manatee Memorial stand alone and they are absolutely amazing!!! I will never return to HCA again!!!
The best staff ever from the security thru the Doctor! I highly recommend this ER! Every single staff was awesome. Keep doing the good job Dem
