Late on a Saturday night I was sent to this ER by an Urgent Care physician that felt I needed further care. They called ahead and I was able to get wheelchair assistance from my car to get inside. I had a very short wait and was processed online from my bed. After 3 X-rays, a podiatrist was called in to say he couldn’t see anything in my foot but with my consent he could look into it. He eventually pulled out a 1.5” long splinter, cleaned the small wound and stitched it closed. I was walking fine in a few days.
