I was admitted and cared for quickly. The staff was friendly and understanding. I was xrayed and had a CT scan withing 30 minutes of being there. I was at the facility about 10am on a weekday. I had fallen at home.

My 3-year-old was seen here for vomiting and diarrhea caused by a stomach virus. She had not eaten, was visibly ill, and had a bowel movement during the visit, yet she was not given IV fluids or anti-nausea medication. The doctor declined because she did not vomit on-site. She was discharged after two hours with only flu/COVID testing. She vomited again once we got home and developed a fever. A second provider later prescribed necessary medication. Comparing HCA in Apollo bch vs my most recent ER visit this year at Advant Health by USF. There is a major compromise in the quality of care. At HCA I was seen and treated promptly by curt professionals. I felt like they are there to do a job and follow strict management guidelines on time frames and steps taken. At Advent I fealt like they cared for me and my outcome just as much, if not more than polychromatic tape. So HCA is ok but feels like a greedy business. I had a very disappointing experience during my recent visit. I brought my two children in because I was genuinely concerned about their health and wanted to make sure everything was okay not to waste anyone’s time. Unfortunately, the RN we encountered was extremely dismissive and unprofessional.
