Our AC unexpectedly went out during a brutal Texas August heat wave with temps over 100° with a heat index above 110°. Hayward Air responded quickly, on the final hour last Friday afternoon. The owner picked up my call and personally came out himself to take a look at the issue. He ordered the part right away and had his best HVAC technician, Daniel Maldonado, who was professional and highly knowledgeable, replace the board. He had our AC running again in no time. When my A/C unit went out yesterday evening, I called a different A/C company (I didn't know any better yet), spoke with an AI customer service agent who told me they could come out "today", but with no actual time estimate, and then within 10 minutes, I got a text saying they'd have to reschedule for the next day or so. Then I called John and he was at my door within 15 minutes to come check what was wrong. I don’t review many companies but with Hayward I had to. There aren’t many companies that I can say are outstanding…
John is reliable and honest. Xtreme air conditioning, a different a/c company, tried to scam us and charge $4500 to replace a huge part but John found out that it was actually a cheaper part that needed fixing and it cost like $500ish I think. He saved us a ton of money. We had him come to our other house and do an a/c clean out and we’ll have him back again soon. Thanks, John!
