I was in ICU in April of 2025 I had to wait over an hour for any help .numerous times left without my call light next to me or near me. HMC needs more staff for sure .The nurses didnt know how to use the lift which almost dropped me on the floor .it was terrible.phsyical therapy was more amazing then anyone excluding the actual doctors. The rn's,cma's and cna's need to be trained and do better for a hospital.Highly disappointed
Doctor ERIC ACOSTA MD . After my bad review ? I have to make this review . I can not recommend this man enough . Hays Med better be thankful they have such a talented doctor on their staff . I pray he is getting paid his true worth . My husband who came in DKA . After a horrible 141/2 hr ordeal with horrible Night doctor the only doctor for the whole hospital ( which should be dangerous in itself as far as patient ratio to doctor) Dr. Acosta came in right away at 7am . When I made a call about a question this lady couldn't even hear what I was trying to say so she had me spell it out like are you crazy, how hard is it to understand something when you clearly understood everything else I said but just one word🫤
