I am in Houston, TX and needed a copy of an archived article in the Jacksonville Journal Courier. Pam Bierman, located in the Genealogy Local History Library, was extremely helpful in locating and sending me the article. She was very polite and willing to expedite my request. Give her a raise!! Or @ least buy her a nice lunch:)

I love going to the library downtown and taking my grandchildren �
It is a great library district, particularly for a town the size of Alton. I would love to see more diversity/inclusive options across all genre, although I am beginning to see more. I also feel the Teen Space (it is so small of an area downtown) could be more inviting but I also realize that this is trivial compared to other areas of the library that need to be prioritized when funding for libraries is dwindling.
