While working on my car, the guys a Hayes found that what they originally thought was wrong with my car was not the problem. The real problem was much more simple. The results were the cost was considerably less and it took less time to get my car back.
I've been a customer of Hayes Automotive since 2008. In that time, I've had them work on my '89 Cherokee, my '87 Bronco, my '97 Escort, and, as a tow truck driver, had referred many other customers to them. Last night, I was driving my '79 G30 Mobile Traveler that I recently bought to Boulder to show it off to a buddy of mine and it overheated on HWY 119. Total rip off! I took my truck there for diagnosis and repair, agreed to pay $150 for the diagnosis up front. First they tried to sell me a $2500 fuel injection before even looking at my truck. Then they claimed my carburetor couldn't be rebuilt and tried to sell me the fuel injection again. I got my carburetor back in a box in pieces, missing a piece, and put it back together myself. For this I paid $250. TOTAL RIPOFF!!
