Having recently moved to Charlotte from New York, I was excited to try Hawthorne’s. Unfortunately, the experience was a letdown. The pizza didn’t look like all the pictures I had seen and it didn’t have much flavor. I really wanted to love this place and was hoping it would become a go-to spot, but based on this visit, I don’t think I’ll be back. Maybe it was just an off day, but it was a disappointing first impression.
Update: We come here often now because the pizza is really really good, both the NY style one and also the pan pizza!!! Service however can be so and so, in the beginning it was great, last few times not so much. Ordered here for to go for the first time and it was great! Pizza was delicious, ready in no time. Will definitely come back, also to dine in since the interior looks really nice.
Most amazing pizza with amazing customer service. I love this place.
