I am a firm believer in therapy. I've had therapists off and on my entire life. Rick is, far and above, THE best therapist I've ever had. His ability to tease out the nuances of my problems and subsequently provide me with tools to manage them is remarkable. I feel his superpower is that he is genuinely curious. He wants to understand the drivers of my behavoir and the root of my problems as much as I do. He is compassionate, non-judgemental, and down to earth. It is not an exaggeration to say that Rick has changed my life.
Finding a good therapist can be so difficult and time consuming so I feel incredibly lucky to have found Hawthorne Healing Center and Rick when I first decided to pursue therapy. I immediately felt comfortable and the way Rick listens, validates and challenges me has made me learn so much and work through so many things in ways I could never on my own. I can’t put into enough words the gratitude I feel for Hawthorne Healing Arts. The welcoming environment that Rick and the team have created here are palpable. While it’s a business, they put humans at the heart of it and this intention is felt from the moment you walk into the physical space and throughout the emotional terrain you travel with the therapist in the session. Rick is an absolute gem of a therapist and a human. I have been working with Rick for at least 6 years now, and have seen countless improvements in my life. I refer everyone I can to him. I can’t speak highly enough about Hawthorne Healing Center.
