History Established in 1935. Cecil Sandberg started the Sandberg Funeral Home in 1935 on S. University Ave. in Blackfoot. In the 1950's Dean Hill began working for Sandberg Funeral Home and in 1965 he purchased the funeral home from Cecil and it became known as the Sandberg - Hill Funeral Home. In 1990, Perry Hawker joined Dean Hill as a partner and in 1995 he purchased Dean's interest in the funeral home. The name became Hawker - Hill - Sandberg Funeral Home. Wow, I can't believe the absolute kindness & compassion of the people that work here! The facility is beautiful and the atmosphere is pure. Definitely somewhere I felt comfortable having my mother's services.
