My husband and I came from the Chicago suburbs to Galena in 1993 for a weekend visit and didn't want to leave. So we moved here and opened a Bed & Breakfast on a quiet road in the Galena countryside. Amazing place to stay and relax. The atmosphere and everything about it were a wonderful experience. The views, the food, and the tranquility mean we will definitely be going back. John and Jim were amazing hosts and everything was clean and incredibly comfortable.
The friendly owners, the incredibly nice bed and amenities, and the breakfasts were all 5-star! The view is really nice to see from the dining room. Next time we're getting a cabin for cold weather and enjoying the fireplace and big tub! As was the case in 2021, Hawk Valley has upgraded its amenities and cottages
Can't say enough great things about this place! Our cottage was very clean and relaxing. Each breakfast was delicious. Best bacon and scone I've ever had. Owners are very hospitable while also respecting guests' privacy. Wish I would have known about this place sooner; we will definitely be back!
We loved our stay at Hawk Valley. It was so peaceful. The bed was more comfortable than my own. The views were breathtaking. Jim and John are amazing hosts. The breakfast and the treats they provided during our stay was absolutely amazing!!! I highly recommend staying at Hawk Valley!
We had a wonderful weekend getaway at Hawk Valley Retreat, staying in one of their private, cozy cottages! Such a beautiful setting and service was outstanding! Would definitely recommend this place!!
