Im sure these guys deal with the worst of the public, but that doesn't excuse unprofessional service. It's a government office, so I expected a long wait time. What I didn't expect was to be made to feel like being a tax paying citizen was somehow a burden to the office that is funded by taxpayers specifically to assist them with paying taxes... They recently mailed me a letter asking for 4 years past tax returns, with threats to levy and sieze.....with under two weeks notice. The kicker was that 1 of those years I lived in CALIFORNIA; NOT HAWAII; and two of those years they owed ME money. They operate with terror based tactics and do not operate from reality: which is terrifying for a government organization. Where do I start lol. This place is so poorly run..the people who answer the phone have no idea what they’re doing and they’re rude and confrontational for the very beginning. Skip the calling process and just get an attorney.
