They recently mailed me a letter asking for 4 years past tax returns, with threats to levy and sieze.....with under two weeks notice. The kicker was that 1 of those years I lived in CALIFORNIA; NOT HAWAII; and TWO of those years they owed ME money. They operate with terror based tactics and do not operate from reality - which is terrifying for a government organization. i recently did legally change my name and have updated it with them, but they have yet to register the change. Where do I start lol. This place is so poorly run..the people who answer the phone have no idea what they’re doing and they’re rude and confrontational for the very beginning. Skip the calling process and just get an attorney.
Whew, this place is terribly run! Typically calling is a no go as it will just hang up on you with a message stating they are too busy to answer. If you have a problem, expect to be met with insane wait times and confrontational staff. Called today to fix an issue/mistake on their end and had an hour and fifteen minute wait time to have a 2 minute conversation with a woman ready to yell immediately until I ended the call. Never again, no aloha lives there.
This has to be the most inept taxation department in the country. I’ve submitted my tax documents twice and they’ve lost my PII twice. These people are awful. They are rude. This department needs to be investigated and overhauled because there is no way they should have this many issues.
