Evan was extraordinarily knowledgeable in both his craft as well as everything related to Hawaii and its environment. He also fostered a safe and fun environment for anyone who may be hesitant about ocean adventures. My family and I had so much fun kayaking and snorkeling!

We were part of a Backroads Multi Adventure tour of the Big Island and they contracted Hawai'i Surf and Kayak for a paddling and snorkeling experience. We had a wonderful time with an incredible team of guides for our group of 19. They were helpful, patient and informative. I want to especially call out Andrew and Pedro, both of whom took special care of me and were exceptionally kind and fun. I highly recommend this outfitter!

This was a great experience from start to finish. The team was friendly and knowledgeable. They gave great instruction and were well set up to support kids. We snorkeled for well over an hour and saw everything from fish to turtles to an octopus. My son got cold part way through and was able to sit on a kayak and warm up while I continued to snorkel. Appreciated the picnic at the end! This felt totally unrushed and relaxed and was an awesome way to spend the morning.

This adventure was the highlight of our trip! I highly recommend booking a trip with Hawai’i Surf and Kayak. It was an amazing way to get out on the ocean and see the reef and wildlife! Great for families as well!
