The diner had too many flies and they pestered us throughout our meal. It was our first time there and our last. He ordered the roast beef dip. The au jous was tasty, but the sandwich had one sad slice of beef on the roll, slightly thicker than deli meat. He enjoyed the roll it was served on. His fries were hot, but obviously frozen and bland. I got a Reuben sandwich. It was hot. The sandwich had more meat than the roast beef, but it was mediocre at best. Not a great way to start the day. Only one server for breakfast. Sign of the times….
I’ve visited Haven Diner approximately four or five times and have generally had positive experiences. In my opinion, their breakfast offerings have consistently been stronger than their lunch menu, which is one of the reasons I’ve continued to return. On Friday, June 5, 2026, I ordered the Haven Burger with fries and a hot roast beef sandwich for takeout. The burger was enjoyable overall, though it was slightly overcooked.
