We had an excellent experience chartering Varsity. The boat was in "like new" shape, everything functioning properly and spotlessly cleaned. Possibly the best maintained boat I've chartered. Jacki and Dave were helpful and I recommend the company highly. Do not be concerned if they take a bit of time responding with paperwork.
We had an excellent time chartering the Cathy Sea. The boat was in excellent condition with all of the living areas clean and well taken care of, all the instruments functioning, and all of the necessary equipment on hand. Haven let us board and sleep on the boat the night before our charter began, which was very helpful and allowed us to get an early start the next day. I looked for you at the Annapolis Sailboat Show yesterday, 10.15.2023, but you were not there. I was going to show you that you indeed do know me.
What do I (or an occasional sailor like me) need in a chartering agency? 1. Selection of vessels. There are many, all reasonably priced and supported in good running condition even to the end of the season. 2. Quality of vessels. We all know that one year in charter equals to three years in owner's hands. Still, a proper TLC is applied to the fleet at all time. We did a five day charter in mid-June, 2023 from Haven Charters. There were seven of us on a Beneteau 41 (all family--we have a big one). Haven Charters gave us excellent support including good advice about anchoring and solving boat issues (we had rough weather including gale warnings and needed secure anchorages). Jacki was especially helpful with docking of the big sailboat which was a relief. Basically we had a wonderful family cruise despite the lousy weather.
