Havana Cafe is disappointing I was disappointed. I'd heard wonderful things about Havana Cafe, and when dining there, I got what was recommended to me by the server. Frankly, the seafood used in my dish was just not fresh tasting, not up to par at all. I haven't been back.
A taste of Cuba This is one of the best places in town. It has everything, great food, great ambiance, and excellent service. Every dining trip has been wonderful, every entree hearty. I strongly recommend the black bean fritters and must have them every time. The calypso dip that they come with is the creamiest guacamole based dip I have ever had.
Restaurant This kind of food is usually not to my liking, usually overloaded with too much spice, or too rich. They have been able to produce a great product that lets the great taste of the food come thru but with a proper amount of spices, and peppers. I usually have the chicken dinner with rice and black beans. Very good.
Restaurant/Cuban Authentic Cuban cuisine in a lively atmosphere. I like this location better than the one on Bell Road. It's conveniently located on Camelback Road in a little cluster of businesses and has a cozy but busy feel. The food is delicious. I had the Pollo Parilla ($13.95). The chicken has a tangy citrus flavor and comes with fluffy but flavorful rice & black beans. The portions are very generous.
