We had a wonderful time on this tour. Our guide was funny and had a way of always ending even the spookiest tales with something positive and upbeat. Some of the tales are gruesome so I would not bring small children on the tour. However it wasn't what I would call horror either, just more suitable for adults. Also if you are someone who has trouble seeing in the dark or is worried about a fall I would not recommend this tour. Bottom line: a super fun evening out on Mackinac Island!
We had a wonderful time on the Haunts of Mackinac tour in mid-October with our tour guide, Maddie! It gave us an opportunity to learn some interesting history about some of the most notable buildings on Mackinac Island and see the island after dark! We brought our dogs along on the tour as well and they got their own glow sticks, which was fun. We have done a lot of ghost tours on vacations spanning from New Orleans to Charlotte, and this tour on Mackinac Island did not disappoint! This is one of the best ghost tours we have been on and we absolutely loved the history and thorough research that this team has clearly done. Josh our tour guide was fantastic. The tour was very cool and I'm glad we did it. It was a smaller group with a very lovely tour guide. They shared the history of things you typically wouldn't hear which we enjoyed. I do however wish it was more of a investigation type tour which my mother said she did years ago but of course things change and I don't know if thar still exists somewhere. Regardless, we enjoyed the tour and would recommend it to others who like the more dark history of places.
