Found what looked to be an injured bird washed up on the beach, called and spoke to a guy and he knew exactly what it was, a loon. Educated me that it was not injured and gave me amazing details on how to get it back in the water. Thank you so much for sharing your knowledge and helping me to get the bird back into the water!
I have known Lou Browning for many years. He is dedicated to all animals and is very good with birds of all kinds, from eagles on down. His compassion is amazing and his knowledge and inventive skills make him a valued asset to not only Hatteras Island but to other areas that send him birds. Lou is also involved in sea turtle research and husbandry as well as volunteering for Radio Hatteras. He deserves our support.
