This is one of the larger Ace hardwares . Hassett stores also seem to carry more of a selection of products. They had everything I was looking for and you can actually find help from employees that know their store. So much better than that orange box place. If they had cheaper prices and carried lumber they would put all other hardware stores out of business.
As a small local business with limited staff it is so convenient to be able to run into town and grab items we need with out worrying about having to close shop for an extended period of time. Always have what we need, reasonably priced considering not having to trek over the hill and the staff is always friendly and helpful. Anytime they haven't had an item in store manager Jody gladly works with us to have it shipped in within a day or 2. Terrible customer service by an employee She was rude and she lied to cover her mistake. I will not go back to Ace in Half Moon Bay
A local hardware store you can really count on. The coast wouldn't get along well without it
Ace hasn't replied to calls or emails so I'll have to leave a negative review. Unfortunately, the gallon of paint I bought here was mixed incorrectly. I painted one wall, waited until the next day to make sure after it dried. Sure enough, it was a lighter shade than it was supposed to be. I texted Ace to share a photo. They told me to bring it in and they'd figure out what went wrong. As soon as I got there they admitted "the machine wasn't able to shoot orange yesterday."
