Hashbrowns' menu refers to its signature dish as the "almost famous hashbrowns," but once word gets out, the dish and the restaurant are sure to become flat-out famous. Serving high-end brunch dishes in a trendy but cozy setting, Hashbrowns is the latest addition to University Village's cutest street (seriously, it's brick-lined and looks like it came straight from Mayberry). Quaint Atmosphere with Tasty Food – I enjoyed Hashbrowns for their small town atmosphere and great breakfast. It's a great location for UIC students and those in University Village. I highly recommend the turkey sausage :-)
Try the pancakes!! – I found Hashbrowns quite cozy and enjoyed my trip. I disagree about previous reviews regarding the Hashbrowns. I found them to be different and very good. I also extremely enjoy the pancakes that come with a vanilla sauce. The staff is very friendly and I've already went back again!

I did not like the hashbrowns, nor were they warm. The coffee and pancakes we ordered as an appatize... read more

The idea of a Maxwell Street polish sausage omelet does not so... read more
