Great Food and a good expierence I have lived in Rildley Park all my life. The Gas Light is the perfect establishment. Its small and very comfortable. Its not a franchise and has that good Ma & Pa feel to it. The Full Bar is a great addition also. I would recommend this place for shure!! Its got so much history you cant help but fall inlove with the place :)

The food and service were so good we returned the next night for more.The 2nd night was just as good. Uneatable Flounder & Untrained Staff. Family of 8 ordered dinner. Three of the 8 ordered flounder which was uneatable. Flounder was old, discolored, and strong. When complaint was made to the waiter, he apologized, but did not remove the entrees from the table or offer alternative selections. When the bill came, we were charged for all 8 entrees even though the 3 flounder entrees were left barely touched. GREAT FOOD/GREAT PEOPLE/GREAT ATMOSPHERE The Gas Light in Ridley Park is one of my favorite eating places. They have a fabulous dinner deal Tuesday through Thursday; your choice of quite a few favorite dinner items for a really great price. The Pasta Rosa is my favorite. Crab cakes are fabulous. We always get a good meal, good prices and good friends working at the Gas Light.
INCREDIBLE I believe this place is absolutely to die for. All the people who are knocking this place are just out of their freaking minds. The pasta rosa is incredible and the bread is always so warm and delicious. There is nothing wrong with the management they are always so nice, including the bartender Bobby. Good food good atmosphere This restaurant change ownership several years ago. They have made improvements over the last owner. The food was very good and we thought reasonable prices. We have had private parties there and they were very accommodating.
YUK I haven't been to the Gas Light in quite a few years. Last time it was terrible and too expensive. Well went back to celebrate a relatives birthday, and thought it would be better, but no just the same. The smell in the place was so musty, smelled like we were in the basement. No new upgrades since then either. They had to open the windows to get the smell out, the door for the patio was left open, so we got the treat of dinning with the bugs too. Thanks for that!! Good food with a little history thrown in. I've been living in Delaware County most of my adult life and have one complaint. There are no decent restaurants. That's a shame considering we are a five minute journey from one of the world's finest culinary cities. I was surprised to stumble upon this little gem and even more surprised to find myself enjoying it.
