I recently purchased a home built by Meritage 4 years ago. There is a 10 year structural warranty and I contacted them to make a claim about some crumbling concrete around the foundation which now is exposing rebar and other metal which is showing signs of rusting. My home inspector recommended this be fixed as soon as possible as the rusting metal will become compromised in the long term.
