I moved my mom to Inwood memory care after some bad experiences at another facility. Our first few months were amazing, and she adjusted well. However, her care started to decline at about the 4 month mark. She is a wanderer, and this facility has very long unmonitored hallways (no staff, no cameras). She started having frequent unwitnessed falls, and that’s just not ok. Having to go take her for weekly head CT scans is not my idea of quality care. The staff is incredibly sweet, attentive, and truly adaptable to each resident's individual needs. The environment feels calm, clean and welcoming. The team is always kind and responsive. Every day is an adventure at Harvest home and Inwood crossing. I am grateful for the compassionate and patient staff! EDIT 2025 - The staff has very high turnover. At 89 years old my mom, a widow for many years, lived alone in another state. We decided to bring her to Texas to live with her family. Mom is very spry and we felt she was missing out on a quality life. We researched and visited a couple homes. Mom was adamant about not feeling ready for a “retirement home”.
