I sustained a back injury approximately one year ago. Developed a terrible limp as my gait was extremely off. The limping caused an awful pain in my left foot. Prior to this I was very healthy. I ran mountains, trained 4-5 days a week and was in the best shape of my life. A year later I can’t walk some days, I’m on the edge of losing my career. Both feet have excruciating pain. They assign you a PCP that isn't taking new patients. They don't cover anything basically. They charged me almost 300 dollars for a movie test. Now I have the flu, got a prescription from urgent care. Only to find out that it's not covered so had to pay out of pocket. So far they have proved there is no benefit to having their insurance.

If you are a State employee using Harvard Pilgrim Health, please do not assume that the high price is equal to any quality.(Roughly 1000mo) The recent experience with my wife has shown me that their policy is essentially to deny care even if it is prescribed by a doctor and expect you to go through a long appeals process which they will slow down by not responding to your doctors and then gaslighting you into thinking your doctors did not send them information.
