Just had lunch at Joyce Sushi in Rancho Mirage with my wife, and unfortunately, it was a miss. We both tried the Bento boxes—mine with teriyaki beef, tempura, and a California roll; hers with sushi and teriyaki salmon. The tempura was heavy and greasy, more like dense fast-food batter than the light, crisp coating you hope for. The beef was tough and hard to chew, the California roll fell apart easily, and the salad was basic and underwhelming. For $27 each, it didn’t feel worth the price. Disappointing overall.
